TWO ARRESTED ON TRAFFIC CHARGES
Two Washington County residents face charges after their arrests during local traffic stops.
Saturday, around 10:00 a.m., Corporal Ashley Burns and Officer Marley Mayo conducted a traffic stop on the frontage road of 290 East.
According to police, 51-year old Tammy Mathis of Burton had a suspended driver’s license with numerous prior convictions, no insurance and an open container of alcohol.
Mathis was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then, just before 9:00 p.m. Saturday, Officer Eddie Martinez conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill St.
37-year old Terance Farrell Jr. of Brenham was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid w/ Previous Convictions.
