WASHINGTON COUNTY AWARDED $20,000 IN EMERGENCY FUNDS

  

Washington County organizations are being invited to apply for a pool of emergency funds.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency recently awarded Washington County $20,000 for emergency food and shelter.  The funds are being administered by Brazos Valley United Way.

Washington County groups that provide emergency food, shelter, and utility needs are eligible to apply for funding.  Application forms can be found at www.uwbv.org/emergency-food-and-shelter-program.  The deadline to apply is Friday, August 24 at 5 p.m.
