BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL BLOOD DRIVE SET FOR THURSDAY

Brenham High School and FCCLA are hosting a community blood drive tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

FCCLA Advisor Jennifer Fuchs says tomorrow’s drive was nearly cancelled, because the designated Gulf Coast Blood Donor Coach was undergoing repairs.  Despite that, the Blood Center will still be able to provide a coach for the drive.

According to Fuchs, the drive originated after 9/11 and assisted greatly in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey last year.

Fuchs says this particular blood drive is only open to the community, but there will be drives for students later on in the fall and spring.

Successful donors will receive a free Commit for Life t-shirt.  For more information about the drive or FCCLA, or to schedule an appointment, call Fuchs at 979-836-8320.
