AUSTIN COUNTY NOW UNDER BURN BAN

  

Austin County is the latest county in the area to enact a burn ban.

Austin County commissioners met last week and exercised the ban, which is effective until further notice from them.

Austin County, along with Bastrop, Burleson, Colorado, Grimes, Fayette, Lee, and Waller counties, are currently on the list of burn bans.

In addition, the counties of Brazos, Madison, Milam, and Robertson are under burn ban.

A burn ban prohibits outdoor burning until the ban is lifted.

At this time, there is not a burn ban in effect in Washington County.
