BRENHAM ELKS LODGE HOSTING GOLF SHOOTOUT IN OCTOBER
The Brenham Elks Lodge is preparing to host an upcoming golf tournament.
The 2018 Brenham Elks Lodge Golf Shootout and Social is set for Saturday, October 20 at the Brenham Country Club, with a 9 a.m. Shotgun Start. The social mixer and charity auction of teams will take place Friday, October 19 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the lodge.
Each two-person team will play an 18-hole qualifying round, with the top ten teams advancing to a 9-hole shootout. One team will be eliminated on each hole, with any ties broken by chip-off.
Entry is $250 per team, which includes a cart, golf balls, hors d’oeuvres for players and sponsors, and access to the driving range and Friday night’s social. Entry forms are available at the Brenham Elks Lodge on 400 East Germania Street, and they are due by Sunday, October 14.
The first place team will win a prize of $1,000, with second receiving $750 and third place getting $500.
