KTEX-106 and KWHI 1280 have donated $970 to CASA for Kids.

The two stations made the donation after raising $970 from the Wagon Wheel of Prizes at the Washington County Fair.

CASA volunteers, also known as Court Appointed Special Advocates, are appointed by judges to represent children that find themselves in the court system.  They assist these children in welfare cases, and help them navigate the foster care system.

CASA Executive Director Deanna Warmke says the money will go towards better serving the children in the foster care system in the local community.
