TWO ARRESTED ON DWI’S

Two local residents have been arrested on local DWI charges from this weekend.
Saturday, just before midnight Officer Alex Saenz responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 1300 Block of Prairie Lea Street.
Investigation revealed that 48-year old Wanda Sue Burley of Brenham was intoxicated and believed to be at fault for the crash.
Burley was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

Earlier Saturday, just after 12:30 a.m., Corporal Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Gun and Rod Road and US Highway 290 East.
According to Perez, a field sobriety test revealed that the driver, 56-year old Curtis Nicholson of Brenham was allegedly intoxicated.
Nicholson was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in for Driving While Intoxicated.
