COWBOYS ACQUIRE AMARI COOPER FROM RAIDERS

The Dallas Cowboys are trying to provide a spark for their lifeless offense, acquiring wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Raiders.

Cooper, the fourth overall pick in the 2015 draft, has 22 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.

He opened his career with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and made the Pro Bowl twice, but his numbers have fallen the past two years.

Cooper is currently in the NFL's concussion protocol after suffering the injury last week in Oakland's loss to Seattle in London, but hopes to be available when the Cowboys return from their bye, Monday, November 5th against Tennessee.

The Cowboys give up their first round pick in next year’s draft to get Cooper, giving the rebuilding Raiders three first round picks.

Raiders’ general manager Reggie McKenzie said numerous teams showed interest in the 24-year old Cooper, but the Cowboys offered the first-round pick he was demanding.

Cooper will play the 2019 season under the NFL’s fifth-year option worth about $13.9-million.
