NAVASOTA PD HOSTING TREATS ON THE STREETS

Update:  Due to the threat of severe weather on Wednesday, Treats on the Streets has been moved to tomorrow, October 30th. Times or locations have not been changed.

Original Story: The Navasota Police Department is set to take part in Halloween festivities by hosting Treats on the Streets.

Local organizations and businesses will set up Wednesday in the 200 block of Holland Street at 6 p.m. in Navasota, handing out candy.

There will also be a costume contest held at 7 p.m., with trophies given to the first through third places.  Contest participants will be divided into four categories: 0-3 years old; 4-year-olds to Kindergarten; kids 1st to 3rd grade; and kids 4th to 5th grade.

There will be a “one way access” starting at Holland and LaSalle Streets, near Snowflake Donut.  The route will end in the City Municipal Building parking lot.

For more information, or to get involved with Treats on the Streets, contact Marla Gurka at 936-825-6124, or email mgurka@navasotatx.gov.
