FOUR ARRESTED ON LOCAL DRUG CHARGES
Brenham Police made a number of drug-related arrests over the weekend.
Saturday morning, just after midnight, 65-year old Carole Paula Jackson was pulled over on a traffic stop on South Austin St. near West Commerce.
Jackson was found to be in possession of methamphetamines, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
Jackson was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
Less than an hour later, 22-year old Travis Castaneda Qawasmeh of Caldwell was pulled over on a traffic stop on Highway 290 East.
Qawasemeh was found in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for Possession of Marijuana—Between 4 Ounces and 5 Pounds.
Saturday afternoon, local police found 38-year old Carlos Smith of Brenham who had an active warrant. During the traffic stop methamphetamines were located.
Also arrested was 33-year old Justin Reuter of Brenham. Both were charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Smith was charged with an outstanding Possession of Controlled Substance warrant.
