BRENHAM POLICE MAKE THREE ARRESTS AFTER TRAFFIC STOPS

Brenham Police report that they made three arrests after traffic stops over the weekend.
On Friday at 2:00 PM, Officer Eddie Martinez attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a wanted subject in the area of Blinn Blvd. and West Main Streets. Once the vehicle came to a stop, the suspect fled on foot but was later apprehended by another officer on location. The suspect, Eric Ellis (28) of Brenham, was placed in custody for Driving While License Invalid, Evading Arrest with a previous conviction, and the two active warrants for Criminal Trespass and Fleeing a Police Officer.

On Friday at 10:30 PM, Corporal David Dudenhoeffer conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill Street. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver identified as Tamesia Burns 21, of Brenham was found to have an active warrant for False Report to Law Enforcement. Burns was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On Saturday at 1:45 PM, Officer Eddie Martinez observed a red Ford Mustang traveling at a high rate of speed in the 2300 block of South Market Street. The vehicle was later pulled over for reckless driving. The suspect, Alan Menchaca (21) of Brenham, was taken into custody for reckless driving and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
