HOUSTON MAN ARRESTED WITH DRUGS IN FAYETTE CO. AFTER SPEEDING

A Houston man has been arrested for drug possession, after he was caught speeding over 100 mph.
Monday afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2007 Toyota Camry on 1-10 at the 668 mile marker near Engle, for speeding at 109 mph.
After pulling the driver over, officers noticed paraphernalia and searched the vehicle. They found two glass pipes and a bag of methamphetamines.
The driver, 34-year-old Eric Lee Behrens of Houston, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center. No charges were brought forth regarding Behren’s speeding.
