BELLVILLE’S BACK THE BLUE EVENT SET FOR APRIL 6TH

  

The Second Annual Back the Blue event is scheduled for next Saturday in Bellville.

This year’s event supporting local law enforcement will be held April 6^th at Clark Park, at 650 North Holland Street.  Activities include 5K and 10K races, a softball game featuring Bellville police against Bellville volunteer firefighters and Austin County EMS, and a kickball game pitting police against the public.

Bellville High School graduate and Fayette County Sheriff’s Sergeant Randy Thumann, along with his K-9 partner “Kolt”, will be in attendance.  Sgt. Thumann is credited for confiscating millions of dollars’ worth of illegal drugs off of Interstate 10 during his time in the Sheriff’s Office.

Proceeds from the event will benefit CASA for Kids, serving Austin, Colorado, Waller, and Washington Counties.
