CUBETTES NAMED ALL-DISTRICT SOCCER

Eight Brenham Cubette Soccer players were honored with selection to the All-District 19/5A team.

Ashlyn Wells was named the top goalkeeper of the year as she recorded 12 shutout this season, and yielded only 10 goals in district play.

Also named to the First Team were: senior defender Lindy Jenkins and senior midfielder Fatima Aguado.

Chosen to the Second Team: senior forward Vanessa Najera, junior forward Chloe Tanner and junior midfielder Alexse Orozco.

Honorable Mention went to: freshman forward Lauryn Wells and junior defender Mia Aschenbeck.

The Cubettes finished 13-7-6 this season, taking fourth in the district with a 6-4-4 mark.  The Cubettes qualified for the playoffs for the first time in three years.
