20TH ANNUAL LEE COUNTY FAIR OPENS MAY 16TH IN GIDDINGS

  

The 20th Annual Lee County Fair is coming soon to the fairgrounds in Giddings.

This year’s fair will be held the 16th through the 18th, and will feature the Mighty Thomas Carnival, the Charcoal Challenge BBQ Cook-off, a classic car show, live entertainment, and more.

The carnival opens Thursday, May 16th, along with setup for the Charcoal Challenge.  Music Thursday will be provided by the Tejano 281 Band.

Friday, May 17th is Senior Citizens Day, with free admission for all seniors ages 60 and older.  Judging begins for the Charcoal Challenge, the Lost Cause Band will perform on the Biergarten Stage, and Randall King will take the main stage.

Saturday the 18th is Armed Forces Day, with a special ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial Park area.  Also on Saturday is the fair parade, the corn hole tournament, continued Charcoal Challenge judging, and entertainment including the Triumphs and Tracy Byrd.

Season passes are available from Lee County Youth Fair Board members for $25, while day passes are only available at the gate for $20 per day.  Thursday night will have $5 admission for ages 18 and up, and free entry for those 17 and under.
