BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET MONDAY
The Brenham School Board will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting Monday, its last meeting before high school graduation.
On the agenda will be several updates, including talks on 2019-20 staffing, safety vestibules, the Early Childhood Learning Center library, and an update from Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson on the school district and the 86th Legislature. The board will also go over grading guidelines.
In addition, the board will issue oaths of office to the board incumbents, who were not challenged for May’s election. Position One Mark Schneider, Position Two Michael Altman, Position Three Susan Jenkins, and Position Four Kelvin Raven will all be sworn in. Following that will be the election of board officers.
The board will also give special recognition to Brenham High School’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian, the Project SEARCH graduates, the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, FFA state qualifying teams, and the Texas History Day State Fair participants.
The board will then adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel matters.
The board will meet Monday afternoon at 6 p.m., in rooms 111 and 113 at Brenham High School.
