The program thanks the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Focused Care at Brenham, Goodwill Store, Higgins South, Holiday Inn Express/Palace Inn Brenham, Home Depot, K-Bob’s Steakhouse, Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Pizzaiolo’s, and Westwood Movie Theatre.
These businesses provided vocational training sites where groups of three to four students, with help from a job coach, were taught job skills that were used at that training site. Students rotated between ten different training sites and gained beneficial job skills for their future.
CBVE teacher Martha Ratcliff said the school district looks forward to continuing these partnerships and adding new training sites next year.
