WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE TIME MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Washington County Commissioners have approved an agreement for electronic workforce management software.

The court at its meeting today (Tuesday) approved a service agreement with Tyler Technologies for ExecuTime software. The agreement will allow the county to implement the electronic timekeeping program, to be used by county agencies for scheduling and time management.

Commissioner Joy Fuchs said there have been some hang-ups getting this done, and said this is hopefully the last step before the county can get the software running. She added the county is taking a big step by moving from paper timesheets to an online system.  Commissioner Kirk Hanath said the ability to flow to payroll was the software’s selling point for the court.

In other items, Fuchs mentioned that a Washington County swift water rescue team was deployed early Sunday to assist with tornado relief in Oklahoma, along with members of the Austin Fire Department. She said the only other time the state has allowed relief teams out of state was in 2005 in Louisiana, with Hurricane Katrina.

Also on the agenda, commissioners approved a set of four utility installation applications from PGMS-Central Washington County Water Supply Corporation.

The requests were for an 8-inch road bore for Maass Road at the Helm Road intersection in Precinct 3, for service to Zionsville Estates; a 4-inch road bore for 5480 Hillside Drive at the Sandy Creek Drive intersection in Precinct 4, for a water line extension; a 2-inch road bore at 165 Happy Hollow Road in Precinct 3, to repair a service line leak; and a 2-inch road bore for 3000 Shadow Lawn in the Country Place Northwest subdivision in Precinct 3, for a 1-inch service line request.

Commissioners also approved refunding LaRoche Chevrolet 11 months of the 12-month 2019 towing contract fee. The refund was for $229.  County Judge John Durrenberger said their towing services were ended not long after the contract was signed.
