FREE FISHING DAY JUNE 1ST
On most days, fishing without a license would lead to a hefty fine, but on June 1st, anglers of all ages can fish for free.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department holds Free Fishing Day on the first Saturday in June, and no license is required to fish throughout the State.
Applying to both fresh and saltwater, this annual event kicks off the summer and National Fishing and Boating Week.
While no license is required, bag and size limits will still exist.
