OVERHEATED MOTOR SENDS BRENHAM F.D. TO LOCAL BUSINESS

An overheated motor led to the Brenham Fire Department being called out to a local business, Monday afternoon.

Just before 1:00 p.m., the department was dispatched to INNOCOR at 1200 Rink Street to an automatic alarm.

Firefighters found smoke throughout the building due to the overheated motor.  It took the department about 45 minutes to ventilate the structure.

No one was injured and there was minimal damage.

Just before 2:30, the department was called to the intersection of Hudson Street and MLK Boulevard in Brenham, where a construction crew has struck a gas line.

As the department arrived, the City of Brenham Gas Department had already stopped the leak.

No other action was needed.
