TWO ARRESTED ON LOCAL WARRANTS

Just before 9:00 Tuesday night, 48-year old John Powell of Brenham was pulled over by local police, near the intersection of East Alamo and Barbee Street.
According to police, Powell was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Non-Support.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Just before 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, 38-year old Rebecca Loftus of Brenham was pulled over on a traffic stop in the 2600 block of State Highway 36 South.
According to police, Loftus was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Loftus was also taken to the Washington County Jail.
