TWO ARRESTED ON WARRANTS

Brenham Police arrested two people over the weekend on outstanding warrants.
Friday afternoon, just before 2:00, officers conducted a traffic stop near Charles Lewis and South Day streets.
The driver, 23-year old William Djon Mathis of Brenham was shown to have an active warrant for assault causes bodily injury.

Mathis was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked.
Saturday, police made a traffic stop at the intersection of US Highway 290 East and William B Travis Lane.
Investigation revealed the driver, 27-year old Felipe Guardado, of Houston had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest for DWI out of Harris County.
Guardado was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.
