ONE TRANSPORTED AFTER TRAILER HOME FIRE NEAR FLATONIA
One person was taken to the hospital after a trailer house fire Friday night near Flatonia.
Units received a call a little after 8 p.m. reporting a structure fire on FM 1295, in the Praha area. The Flatonia Fire Department responded, along with Fayette County EMS and the Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the building was reported to be fully engulfed. The home’s occupants were able to get out of the building, and attempted to put out the fire prior to the fire department’s arrival.
The fire was contained and extinguished. One of the occupants was taken to Austin Heart Hospital for medical observation.
Units were at the scene for a little over four hours. The house was deemed a total loss.
