“BOOGIE BACK TO BASTROP” THIS FRIDAY, SATURDAY
Dance lovers are getting ready to “Boogie Back to Bastrop” this weekend.
Friday and Saturday at the Bastrop Convention and Exhibit Center, the festival will celebrate Texas country and western swing music and dance.
A slate of six performers will take the stage throughout the weekend. Friday will see Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings, Frank Cavitt and the Honky Tonk Doctors, and Bellville’s own David Lewis. On Saturday, the lineup features the Rocky King Band, the Nathan Colt Young Band, and Glen Collins and the Alibis.
Kathy Danielson, with the City of Bastrop, says the event has gotten more and more popular ever since it started in 2016.
In addition to the music lineup, food and alcohol concessions will be available. There will also be retail and craft vendors offering specialty goods.
Doors open to the Convention and Exhibit Center Friday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m., with the festival running from 1 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $30 for one day, and $55 for the whole weekend.
