LOCAL EXTENSION SERVICE TO OFFER FOOD MANAGER COURSE
Washington County’s Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office is offering a professional food manager certification training course.
This program will be offered on October 21 & 22, at the VIP Building at the Washington County Fair Grounds.
The Cost is $125.00 and includes training, materials, and a national food manager certification examination. The certification will be valid anywhere in the state of Texas for five years.
Under the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) jurisdiction each food establishment is required to have one certified food manager employed by that establishment.
This program is designed to not only prepare foodservice managers to pass the certification examination; but will also provide education regarding the safe handling of food.
The registration deadline is Friday, October 4.
