HIGHWAY 6 SIGN WORK DELAYED A WEEK

Work to replace fading road signs on Highway 6 has been delayed a week.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced Tuesday they would delay the work until next Monday. Originally, the work was set to start last night.

When the work starts, crews will replace three signs at northbound State Highway 6 at Rock Prairie Road in College Station.

Then, crews will be at both the north and south sides of Navasota on to replace the overhead signs on Highway 6. Motorists should expect lane closures, but not a full roadway closure.

TxDOT crew will then work in Hearne.
