SANDERS CATCHES TD IN FIRST GAME WITH NINERS
Bellville-native Emmanuel Sanders made his debut with the San Francisco 49ers a memorable one, catching a touchdown on his first reception with his new team.
Sanders (32) was traded from the Denver Broncos to the 49ers last week, for a third and a fourth round draft pick in the 2020 Draft.
On the 49ers opening drive in their 51-13 win over Carolina, Sanders put his new team on the board with a 4-yard scoring pass from Jimmy Garapolo. Sanders finished with four receptions for 41 yards.
Sanders' former team, the Broncos, dropped a heart-breaker to Indianapolis, 15-13.
Former Brenham Cub, Courtland Sutton led the Broncos with three catches for 72 yards, including a 33-yarder.
Another former Cub, Malcom Brown, helped anchor the New Orleans Saints' defense that downed Arizona, 31-9.
Brown had one un-assisted tackle, and was part of a defensive front that limited the Cardinals to 40 yards rushing and less than 240 yards total offense.
Way To Go Guys, Very Proud of You All! You Are Representing Your Towns In A Great Way!
