COLLEGE STATION MURDER SUSPECT FOUND WITH ALLEGED MURDER WEAPON

  

Authorities in College Station say a woman killed on New Year’s Eve was stabbed to death.

A recently released evidence reports says 20-year old Ashli Stewart was stabbed inside her apartment on December 31^st.

32-year old Ricardo Ramirez is charged with her murder.

Stewart's body was found inside her apartment on Harvey Mitchell Parkway by her roommate.  Police said Stewart had been stabbed multiple times with a knife.

Ramirez was arrested about a week later on drug-related charges.  Inside his pickup truck, police found a knife with dried blood, along with the handgun that was reported stolen by Stewart's roommate.

Video confirmed Ramirez's pickup truck was seen in the area of Stewart's apartment on the day of the killing, and he matched a description provided by a neighbor who saw him leaving the complex the same day.

A motive for the murder is still unclear.  Ramirez remains in jail on bonds that total nearly half a million dollars.
