WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO VOTE ON DISASTER DECLARATION EXTENSION

Washington County Commissioners will act on an indefinite extension of the county’s local disaster declaration at their meeting Tuesday.

Thursday, Washington County Judge John Durrenberger signed an extension of the declaration, but it must be approved by commissioners in order to remain in effect until further notice.

If approved, the declaration will remain until terminated by Durrenberger.  Additional directives may be issued by him at any time as deemed necessary, pursuant to the declaration.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners will hear an update from Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells on the Faith Mission and Help Center.

Commissioners will also consider:

  • Approving the purchase of an audio/visual recording replacement system for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office criminal investigation interview room from the Sheriff’s forfeiture fund.
  • The naming of a private lane abutting Randle Hill Road in Precinct Two as Toddsville Lane.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
