VIRTUAL MLB: ASTROS RALLY/RANGERS FALL IN 9TH
In an attempt to fill the void left by the absence of Major League Baseball, the long-time baseball board/computer game, Strat-o-Matic is playing the 2020 season, virtually.
Strat-o-Matic is using their computer technology to recreate all of the scheduled 2020 games.
As a light-hearted attempt to fill the absence of live-action baseball, KWHI will post the daily results of the computer-generated games involving the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.
While it, in no way, can replace actual baseball, we hope it will act as a tongue-in-cheek substitute until real baseball returns.
The Astros rallied for seven runs in the top of the ninth, as they completed a sweep of Baltimore, 7-3. The rally was keyed by a two-run double from Yuli Gurriel and a three-run homer off the bat of Dustin Garneau. The Astros are off Monday.
The Rangers bullpen faltered in the ninth, as Toronto rallied of three runs and a 5-3 win. Texas got homers from Todd Frazier (12) and Danny Santana (5). Texas is also off Monday.
