MAN ARRESTED FOR BRYAN MURDER
(Brazos Co. Jail)
A Bryan man has been arrested and charged in a shooting death earlier this month.
College Station Police located 18-year old DeShawn Dewayne Franklin of Bryan at an apartment in the 1500 block of Airline Drive near Longmire.
Authorities say Franklin, who was armed, peacefully surrendered just after 9:30 p.m.
He was taken into custody on five outstanding warrants including three for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon from Bryan Police.
Franklin is the second of three suspects arrested for the deadly shooting, June 3rd in Bryan.
32-year old Derrick O’Bryant Smith of Bryan, was killed in the shooting.
Austin Police arrested Ayrian Brown two weeks ago. The search continues for the third suspece, Demetrius Thomas of Bryan.
