ASTROS/RANGERS SET PRE-SEASON ROSTERS
The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers have set the 60-man players’ pool who will be eligible to play for them in the Major Leagues in 2020.
The Astros have 56 players on their roster with four open slots. The Rangers have 55 player on their list.
The Astros will resume pre-season workouts Friday at Minute Maid Park and the University of Houston. The Rangers will work out at their brand new home, Globe Life Field.
A club’s player pool can consist of up to 60 players. The teams will then set their active roster on Opening Day. The remaining players that do not make the Major League roster will continue training at an alternate site and can be recalled throughout the season.
The season will begin July 23rd or 24th.
