BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE ISSUES STATEMENT CONCERNING COVID-19 TESTING
Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Brenham is trying to clear up any confusion over COVID-19 testing availability.
According to a release by the hospital, those with concerns about the risk of infection, can use Baylor Scott & White’s free online screening questionnaire. It is available at MyBSWHealth.com and on the MyBSWHealth app, which can be downloaded by texting BETTER to 88408.
After a consultation, a provider may send a patient for specimen collection to the clinic on Highway 290.
The clinic is open Monday-thru-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm., and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Patients must first take the online questionnaire or visit with a Baylor Scott & White provider before arriving at a site for specimen collection.
After exposure to an employee who tested positive I was turned down for a test by the Brenham clinic because I had no symptoms. I contacted Bellville Urgentcare and was tested 45 minutes later and had negative results communicated to me 2 days later.
