PRESSLY COULD BE ‘STROS CLOSER EARLY IN SEASON

Ryan Pressly could open the 2020 season as the Astros’ closer.

Manager Dusty Baker says Pressly would likely assume the role in the Astros' bullpen if Roberto Osuna is not ready to pitch Opening Day.

Osuna has yet to face live hitting in summer camp as he works back into game shape.

Osuna spent much of the pandemic off time in Mexico, where restrictions combating the virus prohibited an ideal workout routine.

The Astros are not sure if Osuna will be available for the opener Friday when they host the Seattle Mariners.

Osuna has spent most of his time at camp throwing long toss and running wind sprints to improve his cardiovascular condition.
