BRYAN ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER BRENHAM P.D. TIP

  

A tip from Brenham Police has led to the arrest of a Bryan shooting suspect.

24-year old Demetrius Thomas has been charged in a June shooting incident on Clark Street in Bryan.

Brenham authorities informed Bryan Police Wednesday that Thomas had posted on social media, he was eating at a Houston restaurant and driving to Bryan afterwards.

Officers were waiting for him just before 4:00 p.m. when he passed them on Highway 6 North.  Police followed Thomas for over four miles before he finally pulled over into a convenience store parking lot.

Thomas was arrested on four warrants, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm from the June 3 shooting.  Two other suspects have already been taken into custody.
