BRENHAM POLICE MAKE NARCOTICS ARRESTS

A Saturday traffic stop led to the arrest of a Brenham man on a drug charge.
Just after 2:00 p.m., police pulled over 29-year old Joshua Erick Bryan of Brenham in the area of South Chappell Hill Street and Burch.
After investigation, Bryan was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance, after narcotics were located during a search of his vehicle.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail.

Sunday, just before 4:00 a.m., police contacted a subject in the 2900 block of Highway 36 South after receiving a report that he possibly had a narcotic substance fall out of his pocket.
After an investigation, 36-year old Christopher William Smith of Bellville was taken into custody for Possession of Controlled Substance.
He was also taken to the Washington County Jail.
