BRENHAM OFFICIALS HOLDING BUDGET WORKSHOP, PUBLIC HEARING ON GRANT PROGRAM THURSDAY

A pair of public meetings are on tap this (Thursday) afternoon for Brenham city officials.

First on the docket is a workshop for the Brenham City Council to hold additional discussion on the proposed budget for the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.  The workshop, a follow-up to the city’s first budget meeting on July 16th, will be held at 4 p.m. in the ballroom of the Barnhill Center.

City staff will then meet at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham City Hall to hold a public hearing on the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program, and discuss what city projects may be eligible for the program.

City Manager James Fisher said seating at both venues will be spaced out to allow for social distancing.
