LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING BRIEF CHASE

Brenham Police have arrested a local man following a brief chase.
Tuesday, just before 11:00 p.m., police contacted 36-year old Manuel Lopez of Brenham in the 3500 block of State Highway 36 South.
After a foot chase, Lopez was taken into custody. He is charged with Evading Arrest/Detentin with a Previous Conviction, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
