BRENHAM MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING ACCIDENT

A Brenham man faces charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident.
Thursday evening, just before 8:30, police responded to an accident in the area of West Val Verde and South Jackson Street, near Jackson Street Park.
Authorities arrested 47-year old James Kent of Brenham on several charges including: Driving While Intoxicated—3rd Offense: Leaving the Scene of an Accident; and Failure to Comply with Requirements on Striking an Unattended Vehicle.
Kent was transported to the Washington County Jail.
