WINNERS FOR WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER TAILGATE DECORATING CONTEST ANNOUNCED
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce has named the winners of its Tailgate 2020 Community Spirit Decorating Contest.

The free decorating contest encouraged participating businesses to celebrate the arrival of the fall sports season by decorating with the colors of local schools.
Best Overall Decorations went to Thielemann Construction Company and Stegent-Thielemann Plumbing. Most Spirit was awarded to Seidel Schroeder.
The Best Door, Window, and Theme Decorations went to Brenham Collision Center, Pooltex American, and Personnel Services, respectively.
A total of 23 businesses participated in the contest, while there were no residential entries. Prizes for the winning entries include a holiday party at the Main Street House, as well as gift baskets from BRIANNAS Salad Dressing and the Chamber.
Chamber President Wende Ragonis said it has been a fun two weeks celebrating the community’s return to school through the Chamber’s “Tailgate to You” experience. The Chamber’s “Spirit Squad” has delivered wings, pizza, and more to participating businesses to encourage community spirit and show support for students and educators as they return to campuses across Washington County.
