ASTROS RALLY FOR PLAYOFF OPENER WIN

The Astros rallied to down Minnesota, 4-1 in the opener of the AL first round playoff series.

Houston came to life after a lackluster first six innings, tying the game with a run in the top of the seventh, then three runs in the ninth.

The ninth was sparked by a two-run double by Michael Brantley.  George Springer and Jose Altuve also drove in runs for Houston.

Framber Valdez threw five innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win, after coming in for Zach Grienke, who three four strong innings.

Game two is set for noon, Wednesday in Minneapolis.  The game can be seen on ESPN2.
