CUBS TO OPEN DISTRICT PLAY AT LEANDER GLEN
The Brenham Cubs are set to open District 13/5A DII play, at Leander Glen, Friday night.
The Cubs (0-2) are the two-time defending district champs, and enter the 2020 campaign as the favorite to make it three in a row.
The Cubs open district play after losses to Magnolia West and Magnolia, a pair of higher classification schools, while Glen (1-1) defeated Leander and fell to San Antonio Veterans Memorial.
Cubs’ head coach Eliot Allen says the team had a good week of work leading up to Friday’s game..
Allen says he was a bit disappointed in some of the things he saw last week in Magnolia, and the team is working to address those concerns…
As for the Grizzlies, Allen says they are a big, physical team…
Kickoff is set for 7:00 at A.C. Bible Stadium. The pre-game is set for 6:30 on KWHI AM-1280, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.
