GAS PRICES CONTINUE TO FALL–LOCALLY & NATIONALLY

  

 

Gas prices across the state of Texas continue to fall.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel in Texas is $1.79, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

That price is five cents lower than last week and is 46 cents less per gallon compared to last year.

Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Odessa are paying the most on average at $2.02 while drivers in Sherman-Denison are paying the least at $1.62 per gallon—the lowest price in the nation.

Locally, the average price per gallon in Brenham is $1.79, with a low of $1.62 and as high of $2.15.

The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.12, which is three cents less when compared to this day last week and 49 cents less than the price per gallon at this same time last year.
