TRAFFIC STOPS LEAD TO LOCAL ARRESTS
Two people face charges after traffic stops this weekend in Brenham.
Friday, just before noon, police pulled over 41-year old Erik Vargas of Waller, after a reckless driver call.
Upon investigation, it was found that Vargas did not have a drivers’ license.
He was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid—Enhanced – With a Previous Conviction.
Saturday, police pulled over a vehicle with a defective license plate at the intersection of Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road.
24-year old Kevin Canales of Killeen was taken into custody on charges of Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/Intent To Impair; Possession of a Controlled Substance; and an active warrant out of Pearland for: Theft between $750 and $2500.
Canales was taken to the Washington County Jail.
