WALLER CO. ENACTS BURN BAN

  

Waller County has joined the list of area counties with active burn bans.

Last week, Waller County Commissioners instituted a burn ban prohibiting outdoor burning until further notice.

Commissioners, ahead of this past weekend’s rainfall, did authorize the county fire marshal to remove the ban if conditions warranted and the county received enough rain to bring down the drought index.

Counties in the area with current burn bans include Brazos, Grimes, Lee, Madison, Walker, and now Waller Counties.
