BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO FINALIZE STRATEGIC PLANNING DISCUSSION
Brenham ISD officials will look to wrap up talks on the district’s strategic planning process at a special meeting Wednesday.
The “team of eight,” consisting of the board and Superintendent Dr. Tylor Chaplin, will hold a workshop with the strategic planning team consisting of community representatives to finalize discussion on reforming the district’s vision and mission statements.
Ideas that were raised at a meeting between the two groups on November 10th will be reviewed and presented for final discussion. The two teams will also discuss ideas for implementing planning days—namely, days set aside for teachers and staff to plan—into the district’s master calendar.
Dr. Chaplin says the board intends to adopt the final draft of the mission statements and beliefs at a meeting next Monday, December 14th. He also says the community strategic planning team may be brought back in the future to seek input in other situations.
The meeting will be held Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. in the Brenham Junior High School cafeteria.
