THREE ARRESTED IN LOCAL SUNDAY TRAFFIC STOPS

Three people were taken into custody on a variety of charges after three separate traffic stops by Brenham Police, Sunday.
Just before noon, 46-year old Bobby Bateman of Houston was pulled over in the 900 block of Highway 290 West.
Bateman was taken into custody for an outstanding felony Theft warrant out of Dallas County.

Just after 5:30 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of South Austin Street.
The driver, 29-year old Christopher Baldassaro of Brenham, was found to be in possession of narcotics, placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Baldassaro is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Then, just before 7:00 p.m., Sunday, police conducted a traffic stop in the 3600 block of State Hwy 36 South.
The driver, 31-year old Anthony Vela of Brenham, was discovered to be operating a vehicle without a valid license and to have an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
