BRENHAM ISD SEEKING PUBLIC INPUT ON MODIFYING SCHOOL CALENDAR

  

Brenham ISD is seeking feedback from the public regarding their interest in altering the school calendar.

A Community Calendar Survey is open through Friday, asking questions about various Master Calendar components and potential changes to them.

Input is sought on school start dates and times, the end of school, the addition of teacher planning dates and potential school closures associated with them, and which holidays or events are considered “non-negotiable” school closure dates.

The district is asking for community response in an effort to provide teachers more time to plan together during the school year.  Students will not lose instruction time if additional planning time is added; the district will still meet the amount of instructional minutes required by the state.
