AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TO CONSIDER NEW HANGAR CONSTRUCTION

The Brenham Airport Advisory Board will consider a request for the construction of two new hangars at the Brenham Municipal Airport at its meeting tomorrow (Tuesday).

The board will hear a request from Brent Nedbalek of Aviators Plus for ground space lease agreements to build two 100 foot by 100 foot hangars at the south end of the airport.

City staff are recommending approval of the request.  The hangars would be added to the Airport Layout Plan when the Master Plan project begins this summer, pending approval from the board.

Board members will also consider a request from Aviators Plus to allow service fees to be charged for aircraft exceeding 12,000 pounds that do not purchase fuel.

Also at tomorrow’s meeting, the board will hold discussion and receive updates on the airport lighting project and Routine Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) projects.  It will also hear an airport operations report and discuss any current issues regarding operations, along with future airport needs.  It will also elect a chair and vice chair for the board for 2021.

The board will meet tomorrow afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at the Brenham Municipal Airport.
