BARN CATS AVAILABLE AT BRENHAM PET ADOPTION CENTER
Barn cats are currently available to be adopted at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center.
The normal adoption fee of $40 has been waived, as the barn cats have been sterilized at no cost to the shelter.
Brenham Animal Services staff say the cats are partially feral and are not friendly enough to sit in laps, but they are friendly enough to stick around once they know where home is.
Potential adopters are advised to provide a space for the cats where they cannot escape for a few weeks, so that they become acclimated to their new environment.
To contact the Brenham Pet Adoption Center, call 979-337-7351, or email animalservices@cityofbrenham.org.
